Around here, “package store” is the traditional term for a retail liquor store, but we are much more than a place to pick up beer, wine, and spirits.

We work hard to keep our shelves stocked with the products our customers actually want. JD’S carries a large selection of spirits, more than 700 wines, more than 900 beers, and a wide range of craft beer, ciders, mixers, snacks, candy, and party-ready extras.

Special Orders for Hard-to-Find Items
If you are looking for a specific bottle, vintage wine, specialty beer, liquor, or another hard-to-find item, ask us. JD’S accepts special orders, and if the item is available in the State of Maine, we will do our very best to get it for you.
The easiest way to start is to call the store or stop in and tell us what you are looking for. From there, we can look into where the item comes from, whether it is currently available through the distributor, and what the next steps look like.
If you need the item by a specific date, please give us at least two weeks’ notice. That gives us time to track it down, confirm its availability, and ensure we have the best chance of getting it here when you need it.
Keg Orders
For parties and events
JD’S can help you order kegs for parties, weddings, camp weekends, family gatherings, and special events. Keg availability varies, so customers should call or come into the store to ask about the keg they are looking for before placing an order.
We need at least two weeks’ notice for keg orders. Before you pay, we will check to make sure the keg is available. Once availability is confirmed, you will need to come into the store and pay for the keg before it is ordered.

Bud Light, Budweiser, Miller Lite, and Coors Light are always available to be ordered. Specialty beers and seasonal beers need to be checked for availability.
Kegs generally come in two sizes. A large keg is a 1/2 keg. A small keg may be a 1/4 keg or 1/6 keg, depending on the distributor.
A keg requires a $30 deposit, which is refunded when the keg is brought back. Tap rentals are also available with a $60 deposit, refunded when the tap is brought back.
Kegs are heavy, especially half kegs. Please bring someone to help load the keg into your vehicle if you are not able to lift it safely on your own.
